Policies

At Cedar & Spruce Wellness, I am committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone— regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic. I believe diversity enriches and strengthens our community, promoting understanding and positivity in everything we do.

I want to ensure that every individual feels respected, valued, and safe here. As a condition of working with me, all clients must agree to the following policies. Your support is greatly appreciated!

CONTACTING ME
As a solo practitioner, I am not available 24/7. I am often in session and unable to return phone calls or texts immediately. The easiest way to schedule an appointment is through my online booking system, which gives you full access to my calendar at any time.

Please be mindful of business hours when reaching out. Contacting me outside of these times, such as texting at 6am on a Sunday, is inappropriate and will not receive a response.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT
All new clients must book their sessions online to complete the necessary health intake forms. Online booking is available 24/7 for your convenience.

  • Same-day appointments are not available.

  • A credit card is required at the time of booking in order to confirm your appointment.

  • Payment at the time of booking is optional, but encouraged.

  • Acceptable payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

LATE ARRIVALS
Sessions begin and end on time to ensure all clients receive the full benefit of their appointments. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to discuss your current health and needs. If you are late, your session will still end at the scheduled time, and the full session fee will apply.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS
If you need to cancel or reschedule, I require 24 hours notice. Please text me as soon as possible at 860.204.7707 to let me know. Do not reply to automated appointment reminders, as I will not receive those messages.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged the full session fee. If you have a package, membership, or gift certificate, the session will be forfeited. This policy protects my time and my income, and ensures availability for all clients.

SERVICE REFUSAL AND TERMINATION
I provide therapeutic massage and bodywork for the purposes of improving and maintaining health and wellness. I reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at any time should my profession or my person be disrespected or violated.

Reasons for refusal or termination include, but are not limited to:

  • Sexual advances or comments

  • Other inappropriate behavior or hate speech

  • Intoxication or impairment

  • Contagious illness or skin/ nail condition

  • Poor hygiene

  • Chronic tardiness, cancellations, or no-shows

ANIMAL ON SITE
I share my home and my office with my dog, Bruno. He will warmly greet you upon your arrival.

Bruno loves being around people, and usually stays in the treatment room during sessions. His job is to help you relax and let go of stress. (Yes, I know it might look like he’s just napping—please don’t tell him that’s not real work!)

If you have allergies, or prefer a pet-free environment, I completely understand that my office may not be the right fit for you. If I ever open a practice in a pet-free location, I will be sure to let you know.

GRATUITIES
While I deeply appreciate your generosity, tipping is not necessary. I view massage therapy as an essential part of your health and wellness plan. I align my practice with other health care professionals, such as acupuncturists and chiropractors, who do not accept gratuities. Instead, please channel that extra money into more frequent massage for yourself. Repeat business is the best way to express your appreciation. Thank you!
